Jay S Kumar, the Director of Jawa Altair International School (JAIS), has an intriguing background with a diverse array of experiences spanning education, engineering, and even the Tamil film industry. Born and raised in Madurai, Jay's lineage is deeply rooted in education and community service, as evidenced by his family's involvement in founding and managing educational institutions in LKT Nagar. His early schooling was at a private school established by his dad’s great-grandfather “Rashtrabandhu” Sri L. K. Thulasiram, B.A., B.L., known for its dedication to the weaving Sourashtra community. Following his secondary school education, Jay ventured to Abu Dhabi, where he continued his higher secondary education at Abu Dhabi Indian School. His academic excellence was evident as he achieved first-class marks in his CBSE senior secondary certificate examination. His thirst for knowledge led him back to India, where he pursued engineering studies at a prestigious engineering college in Madurai. After completing his engineering degree, Jay embarked on a professional journey that took him through various roles in the corporate world. He began his career at Citibank before moving on to Convergys in Bangalore and later Wipro Technologies in Chennai. His expertise and dedication led him to Cognizant, where he honed his skills for several years. Jay's career then took an international turn as he ventured back to the Middle East, working as a Program Management Officer in the IT department of the Masdar Research Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi. Subsequently, he transitioned to Dubai, where he served as a Release Manager for the Dubai Health Authority, showcasing his adaptability and leadership in diverse environments. Despite his success in the corporate world, Jay's passion for the arts beckoned him back to India, particularly the Tamil film industry. Despite lacking a background in acting, Jay fearlessly pursued his dreams, initially starting as an atmosphere artist and gradually working his way up. His breakthrough role as Siddhu in the Sundari serial propelled him to prominence, earning him accolades as the best supporting actor from the TV channel. Currently, Jay is making waves as a leading actor in a Tamil serial on a prominent TV channel. However, his interests extend beyond acting, as he has developed a newfound passion for early education. This passion aligns with his role as the director of Jawa Altair International School (JAIS), where he aims to provide a strong foundation for children's future success, akin to the brightness and leadership symbolized by Altair in the universe.
